We are banding together with Jason & Mandy (Searl) Murray to help with Conner's medical cost & to help offset any other financial burden
One should not have to fight so hard at life. Conner was born at 34 weeks. Mandy and Jason knew of Conner's single kidney during pregnancy. Conner did great in the beginning just having trouble with his feedings. 4 weeks after he was born Conner was rushed to the hospital after he had stopped breathing. It was found that he was aspirating his liquids and his lungs were full of fluids. Once this was realized a feeding tube was placed through his nose. After 5 days of being in patient Conner was able to go home again. Once he was at home he was placed on an apnea monitor to monitor his oxygen level and heart rate. At 8 weeks old he was rushed to the hospital again with oxygen levels in the 40s. He was kept in the hospital for monitoring and had a sleep study done which showed obstructive apnea and central apnea. Conner was brought into the OR 2 days later for what was supposed to be a simple scope to look at his airway and to correct his floppy airway. While he was having this procedure done the doctors found that his airway was so narrow it would be to dangerous to do anything further. The doctors had worries that his airway would swell if anything was done. A tracheotomy was proformed to open his airway and correct the obstructive apnea making it easier for him to breath. Doctors don't know how he made it 2 months without the tracheotomy. During this procedure he also had a placement of a g-tube A g-tube was also placed the week after his trach was put in to help with his feedings. To add to Cooner's troubles he has 2 heart conditions that will need to be corrected down the road. Conner is breathing and resting much more comfortably. He is such a tough little man!! He is mommy and daddy's little fighter!
